Editing Song Lyrics Script

Hello and welcome to Editing Song Lyrics in ALSong.

Sometimes you may find that lyrics aren't quite accurate, or the timings may be off. When this happens, you can report the lyrics, or you can edit the lyrics and timings.

Conversely, if lyrics are entered correctly with good synchronizations, you can vote for them.

To vote, click the vote button in the Lyrics window and then click OK. Your vote will be registered in the ALSong Song Lyrics server.

To report lyrics, click the report lyrics button in the Lyrics window and either type a message, or choose one from the drop down menu then click Send Report.

I've already created an entry for "Caviar and Meths". It's an instrumental, but I didn't put that in the lyrics. So, I'll correct that 'mistake'.

To edit the lyrics, click the Edit Lyrics button in the Lyrics window.

Here in the Song Lyrics Editor on the Enter/Edit Lyrics screen, make any changes to the lyrics then click next. Here I only need to indicate that the song is an instrumental, so the edits are very minor.

Next, here in the Synchronize Song Lyrics screen, I don't actually need to do any synchronizations, but usually you would do that here. For more information on synchronizing song lyrics, see the other help videos at the ALTools web site.

Once you're finished synchronizing the lyrics, click next.

Here on the last screen you can enter your name or a nick name, and an Internet web address. I'll link this directly to the Judas Priest web site.

Also enter a comment.

Once you're finished, click Next.

ALSong then submits your edits and confirms whether or not they were successfully submitted. Click Done.
