Hello, I am Brazilian (I am 15 years old) and use ALZip 7.4 (my demo license ends in 3 days ) and would like to know two things:

1. I'm having trouble extracting RAR with password and no password. Every time I try to extract only a few empty folders or anything. What can be? I think the files were created with WinRAR.

2. I'm translating ALZip for personal use and I wonder if I can share that translation with other people. I really like ALZip is even with my license at the end I would like to give my contribution and help people given the chance to take advantage of this software and its own language.

It is weird that RAR file does not get extracted in ALZip. Maybe there is  a problem with the file.

I know it is a bothersome process, but please try using WinRAR, and see if extraction works.

If it does not work either, then it means the file has been corrupted (broken).

If it works at WinRAR, please send the file to us.

The way to upload the file is shown at the end of this message.

It will be our valuabe asset to make a better program.

Here are steps to upload your file at our web disk.

1. Access site

Go to BIZHARD of ALTools Users
http://egghead.bizhard.com/Login.aspx

2. Login

You can see the login form on Top-left.

Type the following ID and password.

ID : tryaltools
PW : forumsupload

3. Webhard Tab

After you type login info correctly, [Webhard]Tab will be opened.

Click 'Upload' button and select the file. 
After checking the file path, click 'Start' button.

1. On the extraction of RAR:

I used WinZip and it was extracted correctly. On the upload file appears several squares and can not understand anything. I cannot complete upload. Name: Prova ENEM 2009.rar

2. About translation:

Since the translation I am working to have it ready as soon as possible. And wanted to know if any problem in translating the program and leave without the "&"? Ex: &Cancel ---> Cancel?

Hi, Here is the response from our crew.

For your second question, it doesn’t matter if you didn’t insert "the & characters."

This character is a function to make the next character a shortcut to the function.

For example, from the original English ini file, you will see a line that is stated, "mnFile=&File."

This means if the user enters ALT + F or just F on a menu, the key will be active as a shortcut.

If you modify the file like the following "mnFile=Fil&e," ALZip recognizes the E key as a shortcut,

and the user has to press ALT + E to approach the file menu.

Since your language is totally different from English, it will be your choice where to put "the &

character."

If you don’t want to put any, you don’t have to. It’s all up to you.

If you are going to put, then please be aware of duplicated shortcut keys on the same menu. In

such case, only one will work with the key.

Hi,

I downloaded the RAR file and successfully extracted it with ALZip 7.4.

There might be other probelms with your computer settings or etc, not ALZip itself.

If ALZip is corrupted, you can re-download it at our website.

Other wise, please send a snapshot of what you see when failing to extract RAR file with ALZip 7.4. 

Here are snapshots of the results of extracting your file.

1. I downloaded "Prova ENEM 2009" file from your web-hard disk.

2. Upon double-clicking your file, ALZip automatically shows some PDF documents inside the RAR file. 

3. After clicking "Extract" button, I succeeded in opening all your files in a designated folder.
