Rename <F2>

Change the file name of the selected picture.

Usage

Select a file.

Click [Edit] ¬> [Rename].

Enter the new file name.

Changing Picture File Format Extensions

Changing the file extension of a picture while renaming it does NOT change the picture format, but you do not need to retype the file extension again. e.g. If the file name is "my Picture.jpg" you can rename it to "your picture" and the file will be correctly renamed as "your picture.jpg".

Renaming More than 1 Picture File

Attempting to "rename" a selection of files will force the [Batch Rename] function and you will be presented with the [Batch Rename] dialog. The reverse is not true, i.e. Batch renaming a single file will still display the [Batch Rename] dialog.
