Delete <Del>

Deletes the current picture file. This function is not available in 2 Pic View mode.

Usage

Click [Edit] ¬> [Delete].

You are prompted to confirm the deletion. Click [Yes].

Picture Deletion Options

Pictures are deleted to the Windows Recycle Bin, but you can override this behaviour in ALSee's [Preferences]. (Files that are deleted but not sent to the Recycle Bin cannot be restored.)

Killing Picture Files

You can "Kill" a file by selecting it, then pressing <Shift + Del>. This deletes the file without sending it to the Recycle Bin. Killing picture files is permanent, i.e. They cannot be recovered. This is the same as unchecking [Delete to Recycle Bin] in the [Preferences].
