Printing Options

Take an advantage of various Printing options.

1. From the menu, click [File] -> [Print <Ctrl + P>].

2. Choose your options in the print dialog box. Refer to the table below for more information on print options.

3. Click the [Print] button.

Print Option

Description

Preview

Displays a print preview.

File Name

Displays the currently previewed file name.

Previous

When printing multiple pictures, lets you preview the previous in the print cue.

Next

When printing multiple pictures, lets you preview the next in the print cue.

Printer Setup

Displays your printer setup dialog

Size

Print Individually

Fit to Page

Enlarges or shrinks the picture to fit the page without distorting the image proportions. (i.e. Aspect ratio is preserved.)

Stretch to Page

Stretches the image to match the page proportions, which will cause distortion if the picture and page proportions are not equal. (i.e. Aspect ratio is not preserved.)

Rotate to Fit Page Dimensions

Rotates the picture to best fit the longest side of the picture with the longest side of the paper.

Custom Print Settings

Custom Size

Width

Adjust the width of the printed picture.

Height

Adjust the height of the printed picture.

Maintain Aspect Ratio

When checked, this ensures that the image does not distort. It keeps the ratio between width and height constant.

Custom Ratio

Percent

Enlargens or shrinks the printed picture by a percentage. Aspect ratios are maintained automatically with the [Custom Ratio] print option.

Page Setup

Portrait

Prints the picture in portrait mode. i.e. The longest edge of the paper is top to bottom.

Landscape

Prints the picture in landscape mode. i.e. The longest edge of the paper is left to right.

Reset

Resets [Custom Size] to the picture's original size and resets [Custom Ratio] to 100%.

Print All

Pictures per Page

Columns

Set the number of pictures wide to print on each page.

Rows

Set the number of pictures high to print on each page.

Picture Spacing

Top/Bottom

Set margins in millimeters between pictures.

Left/Right

Set margins in millimeters between pictures.

Page Setup

Portrait

Prints the picture in portrait mode. i.e. The longest edge of the paper is top to bottom.

Landscape

Prints the picture in landscape mode. i.e. The longest edge of the paper is left to right.

Position

Margins (mm)

Top

Set the top margin for the page in millimeters.

Right

Set the right margin for the page in millimeters.

Bottom

Set the bottom margin for the page in millimeters.

Left

Set the left margin for the page in millimeters.

Positioning

Position the picture within it's potential print area, top, bottom, left, right, or centered. There are 9 options. This option is not available when printing multiple pictures per page.

Header/Footer

Header

Text Input

Enter any text you wish for the page header or select an option from the drop down.

Justification

Left

Left justify the header.

Center

Center justify the header.

Right

Right justify the header.

Header top margin

Set a margin in millimeters above the header.

Footer

Text Input

Enter any text you wish for the page footer or select an option from the drop down.

Justification

Left

Left justify the footer.

Center

Center justify the footer.

Right

Right justify the footer.

Footer bottom margin

Set a margin in millimeters below the footer.

Font

Opens a font dialog to set the header and footer font.

Misc.


Auto Picture smoothing

Automatically smooth all the pictures to eliminate pixelation and make the picture nicer to look at.

Number of Copies

Set the number of copies to print.

Print

Send the print job to the printer to print.

Cancel

Cancels the current print job without sending it to the printer.
