Convert selected files to any of BMP, GIF, JPEG, PCX, or TIFF formats.
| 1. | Select the pictures you wish to convert. |
| 2. | Click [Tool] -> [Convert Format (Ctrl + F)]. |
| 3. | Choose a [Picture Format] and set your other options. See the table below for picture conversion options. |
*Remarks: Once a picture is overwritten (replaced), it cannot be recovered. It is irrevocably lost forever and ever. Use caution when overwriting pictures.

Picture Format
|
Sets the target picture format type from among BMP, GIF, JPEG, PCX, and TIFF.

Quality
|
For JPEG (JPG) files this sets the compression and quality. Larger numbers are higher quality with larger file sizes. Smaller numbers are lower quality with smaller file sizes.
* This option is ONLY available when converting pictures to JPEG files.

Bits Per Pixel
|
Sets the number of bits available per pizel to store color information. Bits for color dept depends on the picture format: GIF can hold 4 or 8 bits, while BMP, PCX, and TIFF can be 4, 8 or 24 bits deep.
* This option is NOT available when converting pictures to JPEG files.

Save in Directory
|
By default, converted pictures are saved in the same directory as the original. Click the [Browse folder to save to] radio button and browse to another directory to choose a different one.

Overwrite Files?

If a picture with the same name exists, you are prompted to either 1)not convert the picture or 2) overwrite the existing file.
|
Skip
|
If a picture with the same name exists, do not convert the file. Keep the existing file.
|
Overwrite
|
If a picture with the same name exists, overwrite the existing file with the new picture. The existing picture is irrevocably lost and cannot be recovered.

Delete original after converting
|
Deletes the original picture files to the Recycle Bin if [Delete to Recycle Bin] is checked in ALSee's Preferences (F4).

Multiple Frames
|
Convert first frames only
|
For a picture containing multiple frames, only the first frame can be converted.

Convert all frames
|
Save frames separately
|
For a picture containing multiple frames, each frames are converted and saved as a separate file.

Save all frames into one
|
For a picture containing multiple frames, all frames are combined into a single file.
