Edit multiple picture files at the same time.
Resize, Rotate, Rename, and Convert Picture Format!

Batch Edit 1) Resize Picture

1. With ALSee in [Browse] mode, select all of the pictures and photos that you would like to change to another size.

2. Click [Tool]-> [Batch Edit (F3)].

3. Check [Resize Picture].

4. Select one of resizing options.

Resize by %: Resize the pictures by a percentage, either larger, or smaller.

Resize by resolution: Enter the new width and height.

Check the [Preserve Aspect Ratio] checkbox to keep the relative dimensions and automatically update the width and height when one or the other is changes.

Resize by particular axis: Resize the pictures by either long axis or short axis.

Resize by file size: Resize the picture by restricting size of the file in kilobytes (KB). Or, you can use pre-defined [Limit size to 500KB] to resize the picture for common uses (e.g. Personal blog picture, E-Mail attachment).

5. Check one of the Destination Folder radio buttons. You may need to browse for a directory to save to.

6. Click Start to resize all of the selected files. Each file follows the options you set above.

 

Batch Edit 2) Rotate Picture

1. With ALSee in [Browse] mode, select all of the pictures and photos that you would like to rotate in certain degrees.

2. Click [Tool]-> [Batch Edit (F3)].

3. Check [Rotate Picture].

4. Select one of Rotation directions. Or, Rotate picture automatically based on digital camera info.

5. Click Start to rotate all of the selected files. Each file follows the options you set above.

 

Batch Edit 3) Rename Picture

1. With ALSee in [Browse] mode, select all of the pictures and photos that you would like to rename.

2. Click [Tool]-> [Batch Edit (F3)].

3. Check [Rename Picture].

4. Under Rename Rules, formatting symbols are added to the file name formatting input under Template.

5. Preview the new file names in the New File Name column.

6. Click Start to rename all of the selected files. Each file follows the options you set above.

Batch Edit 4) Convert/ Save Picture Format

1. With ALSee in [Browse] mode, select all of the pictures and photos that you would like to covert the file formats.

2. Click [Tools] -> [Batch Edit (F3)].

3. Check [Convert/Save Picture Format].

4. Choose your new picture file format, JPEG quality, Color bit depth (BPP), and save directory options.

5. If you wish to erase the original file after conversion, check the [Delete original file] checkbox.

6. Click Start. Your selected pictures are changed to the new format. A picture format conversion progress box keeps you updated as picture files are converted.

7. Click [Finished] when finished to return to ALSee.

 

Rename Help

*Remarks: Enter a new name with the following symbols. When the following rules are not applicable, you can enter any text to rename a file with that text.

Insert Year-Month-Date-Serial Number.

[%P]-[%N]

Insert Folder name-Original File Name.

#

Insert as many has marks '#' as needed for zero padding.
For example, when the starting number is 1, if ### is inputted, files are renamed with 001, 002, 003...

[%P]

Insert folder name.

[%N]

Insert original file name.

[%YYYY]

Insert year depending on the number of Y.
For example, for 2008 [%YYYY] is 2008.

[%MM]

Insert month depending on the number of M.
For example, for July [%MM] is 07.

[%DD]

Insert date depending on the number of D.
For example, for 1 [%DD] is 01.

Text

Text appears exactly as you type it. Note: Only legal characters are allowed.

Starting Number

Consecutive numbers in the new picture names will begin at this number and go up sequentially by 1.

Capitalization

Ignore

Does not make any changes.

UPPER

Capitalizes all characters.

lower

Changes all characters to lower case.

Original File Name

Displays the original picture name.

New File Name

Previews the new picture names as they will appear.

Save to Directory

Shows where the renamed pictures will be saved to.
