Various view modes enable users to choose the right viewing options for each time.

Browse mode

Browse mode lets you preview photo thumbnails, size, color bit depth, file names, and other important picture information.

Menu: The Browse menu contains an exhaustive list of all the functions available to [Browse] mode in ALSee.

Toolbar: The most often used functions are a single click way by clicking on the appropriate toolbar icon.

Address Bar: Shows the full path to the current directory. You can type directly into here to change directories or use the pull down to navigate to recently viewed directories.

Directory Treeview: Just as in Windows Explorer, this is a treeview of all the directories on your computer.

File Pane: Lists all the images in the current directory. View images with large icons, small icons, list, details, or photo thumbnails. Click [View] on the toolbar to cycle through the different views.

Photo Thumbnail Preview Pane: Displays a photo thumbnail preview of the currently selected file in the File Pane.

Status Bar: The Status Bar displays the file name, size and color bit depth, number of selected files, disk size of selected files, and the total number of picture files in the directory.

Zoom mode

[Zoom] mode lets you rotate pictures, view slide shows, and more.

Menu: [Zoom] mode has its own menu with special functions available.

Toolbar: The [Zoom] mode toolbar contains the most often used functions for 1 click convenience.

Picture Pane: The  Picture Pane displays a single picture for you. You can display 1, 2 or 4 pictures by clicking the Multiple Pics. toolbar button.

Status Bar: The Status bar contains information about the currently displayed picture, including position in containing directory, size and color depth, file size, magnification, time to load, pixel information at the current mouse position, and file name.

Full Screen

The entire screen uses the [Zoom] mode background color while the pictures are displayed in the center of the screen.

To get out of [Full Screen] mode and back to [Zoom] mode, press the <Esc> key, double click on the picture, press <Alt + Enter> again, or press the Enter key.
