Quickly change some common viewing & sorting preferences in Browse Mode. Browse Press the Enter key or click [File] -> [Browse] to switch from [Zoom] mode to [Browse] mode or vice versa.
Zoom Magnifies the current picture. Click [View] -> [Zoom]. *Remarks: Hit Enter to go back to Browse Mode.
Slide Show Automatically advances to the next picture in a directory after a predetermined time interval. Click [View] -> [Slide Show]. *Remarks: You can advance to the next picture during a Slide Show by pressing the space bar.
Full Screen <Alt + Enter> Picture can be viewed in Full Screen. Click [View] -> [Full Screen]. *Remarks: Re-hit Enter to go back to Browse Mode.
View Modes ALSee lets you view 23 picture file types in a variety of different way. Please see below for the method that best suits your viewing preferences. Preview: Preview thumbnailed directories for quick and easy selections. Large Icons: List all the images in the current directory as a large icon. Icons: List all the images in the current directory as a small icon. List: List all the images in the current directory as a list. Icon, file or folder names are shown. Details: List all the images in the current directory with details of each file. File/Folder name, size, type, Date Modified are shown. View as film Style: Selected picture is viewed in file browser pane on the top and thumbnailed picture is listed underneath.
Sort Icon By You can sort the icons in the file explorer by Name, File Type, Size, Date, Ascending and Descending. Click [View] -> [Sort Icon By] and choose one of the options that best suits your viewing preferences.
Previous <Alt + Left> Steps back to the previous picture in the current directory. Click [View] -> [Previous].
Forward <Alt + Right> Advances to the next picture in the current directory. Click [View] -> [Forward].
Up one level <Alt + Up> You can go one level up to where you have already browsed. Click [View] -> [Up one level]. *Remarks: If you are lost in a directory tree of thousand of folder, using this to go back to your previous folder is convenient.
My Documents You can go back to your My Documents folder. Click [View] -> [My Document].
Show Hidden files Makes hidden files visible and available to ALSee. Click [View] -> [Show Hidden files].
Show Pictures Only Hides all files with the exception of ALSee's 23 supported picture types. Click [View] -> [Show Pictures Only].
Thumbnail View Compensate Picture Just as with auto correction, this automatically adjusts thumbnails so that they are easier on the eyes with a smoother, more natural feel. Click [View] -> [Thumbnail View Compensate Picture].
Read Stamp Some picture files from digital cameras can store a small version of themselves inside of themselves. These smaller versions of the pictures are called "stamps". Reading stamps avoids creating thumbnails and is consequently much faster. However, sometimes stamps can be stored in the wrong file by some digital cameras, and will display the wrong picture in ALSee. If this happens, uncheck this option.
Refresh <F5> Checks to see if files have been updated, changed, or deleted, and updates the thumbnails, file list, and directory treeview. Click [View] -> [Refresh].
