Security in ALToolbar helps protect you from malicious hackers.
Information from ALToolbar is securely encrypted with AES 256 encryption and transmitted over an encrypted SSL connection to ensure your data is safe.
Your login data is similarly safe on our servers. That's because even IF it were stolen from there, nobody could use it because it's securely encrypted with one-way encryption. For example, if you lose your password, we can't give it back to you because we don't have it. We can give you a temporary new password, but we can't give you back your original password.
SO DON'T LOSE YOUR PASSWORD!
However, you should never give your ALTools account information to anyone. Also, in case you lose your password, you must have a valid email address for your ALTools account registered. Without a valid email address, we cannot send you a reset password and all your data would be forever gone.
On AES-256 Encryption: The Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) was designed by Joan Daemen and Vincent Rijmen and was published in 2001. This algorithm may be used by US Federal Department and agencies to cryptographically protect sensitive information.
