Sign up for a free account to login to your ALToolbar and get the most out of it. To get your free account to use some of the more advanced features of your ALToolbar, visit the ALTools web site. Once you've verified your account, you can login to your ALToolbar to use the various online features such as ALPass Online. Logging In and Login Status Click any of the following to display the login screen:
Identifying logged in and logged out status The shade of the buttons differs between when you are logged in or out. Compare the following ALPass and Bookmarks buttons: Logged In: Logged Out: Also compare under the ALToolbar button: Logged In: Logged Out: When logged in, you will see your user name displayed along with two logout options:
*** IMPORTANT *** ALWAYS CHOOSE THE "LOGOUT AND DELETE LOGIN INFO" OPTION WHEN USING PUBLIC COMPUTERS OR ANY COMPUTER THAT IS NOT YOUR OWN. WE CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS! Please also see Auto Fill & Auto Login for the differences in the ALToolbar preferences when you are logged in vs. not logged in. This is the login screen: ID: This is where you enter your unique user name that you originally signed up with. Password: This is where you enter your password. Save ID: Check this box to have ALToolbar remember your ID between sessions. Save Password: Check this to have ALToolbar remember your password between sessions. Auto-login: Check this option to have ALToolbar automatically login for you when you start Internet Explorer. CAUTION: You should NEVER check any of the above options on public computers. ONLY ever use them on computers that you exclusively control, such as your own personal laptop or desktop computer at home or the office. HINT: If you wish to leave your computer for more than a couple minutes, but wish to stay logged into ALToolbar, you can lock Windows by pressing the Windows key plus 'L', i.e. Login Information in the Preferences Your ALToolbar login information is stored in the preferences under "ALPass Online". For your added safety, you can set your ALToolbar to automatically logout after a preset period between 1 and 600 minutes long. On the General Preferences tab, under Security, check the "Enable Auto-Logout" checkbox then set how long the timeout should be.
