The simplest and fastest way to create a new compressed archive is by using your right-click context menus in Windows Explorer. The ALZip context menu will give you several options.

1. Select the file(s) you want to archive and right-click on them.

Two context menu items, Add with ALZip and Add to <example>.zip, will create new archives immediately. Selecting Add with ALZip will let you specify a file name as well as several other options; see step 1-1. Selecting Add to <example>.zip will instantly create a new archive, bypasing step 1-1.
