The simplest and fastest way to create a new compressed archive is by using your right-click context menus in Windows Explorer. The ALZip context menu will give you several options. 1. Select the file(s) you want to archive and right-click on them. Two context menu items, Add with ALZip and Add to <example>.zip, will create new archives immediately. Selecting Add with ALZip will let you specify a file name as well as several other options; see step 1-1. Selecting Add to <example>.zip will instantly create a new archive, bypasing step 1-1.
1-1. Selecting Add with ALZip will bring up the New Archive dialog box. Enter your options, and click Add. (Click on the screen shot below for more information on any given part.)
2. A progress dialog box will show the progress status for each individual file and for the archive as a whole.
3. When archiving is complete, a new archive is created with the file name as specified in step '1-1' or in the Explorer menu. e.g. :
