Setting passwords in the password dialog box

This dialog box is displayed when you click Password in the Options menu, the Password button in the Add dialog box, or Password in the New archive dialog box.

Type your password in the Password input area, confirm it in the Confirm input area, and click OK.

For security, you can check the Mask password option so that the password is displayed in asterisks (*). To see your password, uncheck this option. Passwords are case sensitive. e.g. "MyPassword" and "mypassword" are different.

Warning: You cannot reset passwords in already existing archives. You can still add files and password protect them with a 'new' password, but previous passwords cannot be changed.
