Changing the ALFTP Client Interface

You can configure the FTP server explorer and your local computer explorer for top/bottom or left/right display. By default, its is top/bottom, but this can be changed in the preferences.

When you first connect to an FTP server, the FTP server's welcome message is displayed. This can be changed in the General Preferences tab by unchecking Show server message on connect.

The following image highlights the FTP server and client explorers in top/bottom display mode. The folder treeviews and file panes are resizable.

Changing the Interface under Advanced Preferences

Click the Advanced tab, and under File Explorers click the Top/Bottom or Left/Right radio button to change the file explorer arrangement.

The following image shows ALFTP set up for left/right file explorers. The file explorer treeviews are no longer available. The FTP server is on the right, and your computer is on the left. The FTP transfer status window and FTP messages areas are still on the very bottom.
