Connecting to FTP Servers with the Site Map

Using Site Map to Connect to FTP Servers with ALFTP

  1. You can connect to saved sites through the Site Map. Select a site and click OK to connect. This also saves any changes you make to the site.

  2. The following dialog is displayed while connecting to an FTP server.

     

  3. ALFTP notifies you when you have a successful connection established.

    ALFTP default main interface Displays FTP site address ALFTP main menu Main toolbar contains common FTP commands ALTools info bar in freeware and unregistered versions ALFTP FTP Server Explorer ALFTP FTP Client Explorer Connection status window displays FTP commands and results FTP Transfer queue FTP status bar contains useful transfer information

Browse FTP sites then click to connect Enter a descriptive title or name for an FTP site Enter the FTP address here Enter your FTP ID or login as given by the sysadmin Enter your FTP password here This is where start when you first login When you login to a site, this is your default local folder for that site Set your FTP port (usually 21), check passive, and set your ftp connect timeout value Add an FTP group Add FTP site Delete FTP site or group This panel contains FTP site information
