FTP Server Message Window

FTP servers often have a welcome message that often contains special instructions or recent information. You can display it automatically every time you visit a site by checking it in the ALFTP preferences. Uncheck "Show server message on connect" if you do not wish to read them.

Server Status Window

When running the ALFTP FTP Server, you can keep an eye on all activity with the Server Status Window. To display it, click the Server button on the toolbar and choose Show Status Window.

Right-click Context Menus

Right-clicking in the ALFTP client or server explorer shows a context menu. It contains many of the most used and most important features.   ALFTP FTP Server Explorer ALFTP FTP Client Explorer

Duplicate Files

If a file with the same name already exists, ALFTP can take one of several actions: Skip download/uploading the file, leaving the existing file intact Overwrite the existing file with the download/upload file Resume downloading/uploading the file Resuming a file download or upload is useful for very large transfers that get interrupted. ALFTP will measure how much of the file was successfully transferred, and then continue from there.
