Running the ALFTP FTP Server

ALFTP has a small FTP server built in for people who want to quickly and easily share files with friends and family.

FTP Server

[Notice] Using firewalls, IP sharing, or private IP addresses (LAN, e.g. 192.168.0.2) may prevent access to your ALFTP server. You may need to configure your firewall or network for proper operation. Please consult the documentation for your firewall, IP sharing device or software, or other device/program and check for information on IP forwarding, NAT, and ports.

  1. On the ALFTP toolbar, click Server to show the FTP server options. Choose Run Server.

     

  2. Make any configuration changes in the Server Settings dialog then click the OK button.

     

     

  3. The ALFTP FTP Server starts and displays the FTP server status window that monitors all FTP activity.
